AI PACS Viewer

Overview

AI PACS Viewer is a clinical decision support tool designed to enhance clinicians' diagnostic accuracy in detecting early-phase lung cancer. Early-stage lung cancer is often identified by small nodules on X-ray or CT scans, which can be easily overlooked during rapid clinical assessments. By integrating AI recommendations directly into the clinical image viewer, the system aids radiologists and clinicians in identifying potential lesions, reducing the risk of missed diagnoses.

As the design owner of this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end design process, from studying clinician’s imaging diagnosis workflow, prototyping the presentation of AI outputs, aligning user’s mental model by introducing feedback mechanisms to address AI errors, and evaluate the usability of the interface.
